Contemporary Art and Localized Practice
摘要
This chapter foregrounds artists’ perspectives and examines contemporary artistic practice in Macau through interviews, collective discussions, and reflective narratives conducted at multiple stages of the creative process. In addition to individual interviews, group discussions were organized among participating artists—particularly during the mid-phase of artistic production—when conceptual orientations, visual strategies, and cultural references were actively articulated and debated. Artists were also invited to provide explanations and interpretations of their own works. Together, these materials constitute the primary empirical basis of this chapter.
