The infectious disease Tuberculosis (TB) remains a high-priority problem worldwide; however, the emergence of drug-resistant strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis hinders the management of TB. Various alternative strategies have been used to treat or manage these drug-resistant pathogens, but we are still lagging because mycobacteria smartly damage or evade these approaches. The potential of phage therapy and its implications, along with other TB treatment strategies, have promising effects. While challenges remain, ongoing research and technological advancements hold the potential to position bacteriophage therapy as a valuable addition to the current TB treatment landscape. As the fight against tuberculosis continues, the integration of bacteriophage therapy could play a critical role in improving outcomes for patients worldwide.
