OverPrevention theTerror attack pastSocial aspects decades, but especially in the aftermath of 9/11, the world's perception of securitySecurity has been greatly affected by terrorist attacks against various targets, which both state actors and ordinary people are trying to counter and prevent. They are trying to do this by increasingly diverse means, such as legislation, giving more powers to the various state bodies (police, army, secret services, etc.) and using different methods and techniques to involve the widest possible sections of society. However, there is no single position, standard or even consensus on these instruments, and some of them often generate serious controversy in society at large. In my study, I will deal with some of these, and I will look at how and in what way different societies have viewed terrorist attacks in the past and how they have tried to prevent and deal with them. In addition, I will look at Internet communication and how it can be used to reduce terrorist attacks.
