摘要

Supported by steel strings, amplification, and a multitude of signal-processing options, harmonics on the e-guitar have an unrivaled power and dynamism. As in The Techniques of Guitar Playing, four standard performance techniques are addressed in this chapter: natural harmonics, artificial harmonics, half-harmonics, and multiphonics.1 To this latter category we give a special emphasis, reflecting the e-guitar’s greater capacity for this technique, as well as in-depth research conducted by Ciszak and Josel in the years preceding this book.2
