The Trillat procedure is composed of a partial superior osteotomy of the coracoid process which is then positioned medially and downwards and fixed into the anterior scapular neck. Indications, patients clinical evaluation, surgical technique, and outcomes are described. The transposition of the coracoid process leads to a dynamic blocking function around and against the humeral head through a dynamic re-centering effect due to the anatomical modification of the conjoint tendon. The Trillat procedure has been shown as a safe surgery to prevent recurrences of anterior shoulder instability, to restore range of motion and allow return to sport.

摘要

The Trillat procedure is composed of a partial superior osteotomy of the coracoid process which is then positioned medially and downwards and fixed into the anterior scapular neck. Indications, patients clinical evaluation, surgical technique, and outcomes are described. The transposition of the coracoid process leads to a dynamic blocking function around and against the humeral head through a dynamic re-centering effect due to the anatomical modification of the conjoint tendon. The Trillat procedure has been shown as a safe surgery to prevent recurrences of anterior shoulder instability, to restore range of motion and allow return to sport.
