Ce que l’art fait aux bêtes. Entretien avec Vincent Lecomte
摘要
Vincent Lecomte is a researcher, educator, and artist, holding a Ph.D. in Aesthetics and Art Sciences. He has taught aesthetics and the history of technology at Université Jean-Monnet in Saint-Étienne since 2010. His research examines contemporary artistic creation as a space for experimenting with new modes of representing human environmental impact, and explores how art uses animals to foreground alternative forms of consciousness. As a visual artist and composer, Lecomte’s practice, encompassing drawing, sound composition, and animation, is a form of continuous research. He regularly exhibits internationally and creates electroacoustic sound pieces integrated into his plastic art. In this interview conducted by the volume’s editorial committee, Lecomte discusses the aesthetic, ethical, and philosophical implications of his work on the relationship between human and non-human animals.
