The therapeutic use of light has been known for a long time. After the development of the laser, therapeutic applications were discovered rather incidentally while searching for problems to solve with this new technology, and lasers were soon used for various purposes. Research has provided a fairly solid scientific foundation for these applications. We now believe we have a sufficiently precise understanding of where light exerts its effects, and over the past 10 years we have also learned a great deal about appropriate dosing. Because the process in which light intervenes is fundamentally important for almost all physiological processes, lasers are effective in a wide range of pathologies. The following explains the effects of lasers and provides precise dosage information.

摘要
