Human Resource Development and Staffing Needs Considering the Care of Chronically Ill People
摘要
Personnel development is gaining increasing importance both within healthcare organizations and in the broader societal discussion regarding the qualifications of health professions. In the past, it was a marginal factor in day-to-day operations and was not strategically employed as continuing education and training with a focus on organizational objectives. In recent years, this has changed, as highly qualified personnel have become a key success factor even in healthcare organizations. In addition, legal and professional association requirements demand a targeted quantitative as well as qualitative development of staff. This article discusses the significance of various tools for determining personnel requirements and for targeted personnel development. Given the complex demands placed on health professions, the development of competencies—alongside formal qualifications and technical skills—assumes particular importance.
