German Idealism is a philosophical movement that developed around the turn of the eighteenth to the nineteenth century. The main representatives of German Idealism are Johann Gottlieb Fichte (1762–1814), Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770–1831) and Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph Schelling (1775–1854).
