Listening to Music in Depression and Dementia: From Brain Research to Clinical Application
摘要
There are numerous studies on the cerebral correlates of listening to music, with implications for music therapy and medical interventions. Depression and dementia are two such areas that, for different reasons, have become the focus of music interventions in health contexts. The chapter highlights how brain research has begun to inform this literature. However, there remain large research gaps between neurobiological foundations and clinical applications of music listening in clinical target groups.
