The Fascial Distortion Model describes six specific deformations of human fascia, called fascial distortions, which individually or in combination cause impairments of the musculoskeletal system and various other organ systems. The model focuses on the consequences of changes in the shape of fascia for the functionality of the human body and expands the conventional medical concept of pain and functional limitation.
