The starting point is a thought experiment. From the perspective of the Novacene, which follows on from the Anthropocene, the topophilia of pop music discourses on ideas of sound in the GDR of the 1980s is contrasted with the epistemologies of specific sound inventions. To this end, the theory of sonic delinking (Johannes Ismaiel-Wendt, after Walter Mignolo) will be developed in relation to sound dystopias in the GDR. The aim here is to approach the differences with regard to auditory knowledge systems and economies in order to question the institutionalized concepts of appropriation and translation of existing narratives of domination. The main section focuses on actors in the environment of Die anderen Bands as examples, which are supplemented with historical autoethnographic descriptions. Based on this data, concrete political and ecological sound dystopias are developed for the selected time frame.

摘要
