The article is intended to contribute to the professionalization of prospective teachers by showing how theory (didactics and science) and practice (concrete subject teaching) can be mutually related in such a way that an improvement in teaching practice results. The didactical approach is built up on the basis of a method of reasoning in oral discourse. The starting point is two specific practical teaching problems that require the development and presentation of suitable solutions in the area of method application for promoting argumentative skills. The practical centerpiece of the didactic design is the establishment of an argument map game. For prospective teachers, it can be instructive to understand how appropriate practice-oriented solutions can be developed that are useful as a philosophical teaching method.
