This chapter is dedicated to the determination of internal forces of plane and spatial straight beams as well as curved beams. After a basic introduction, internal forces, i.e. normal and shear forces as well as bending moments, are determined on straight beams under concentrated forces and moments as well as line loads. In addition, a basic relationship between load and internal forces is derived and used to determine internal forces and moments by integration. We also deal with multi-field problems and thus enable the determination of internal forces for more complex systems and also consider angled beams, frames and curved beams. The chapter concludes with the treatment of spatial beam structures.
