A wide range of topics will be discussed. While the first section explains fundamental approaches to particle physics, the second section provides an overview of the currently known particles and forces. Since the results of the experiments are predominantly given in the form of cross sections and decay rates, a further section is dedicated to a discussion of these two concepts. The last two sections then deal with the experimental tools specific to particle physics, namely the accelerators and detectors, and the Monte Carlo simulation.

A wide range of topics will be discussed.
