Psychotherapeutic measures on patients who are in danger due to, for example, domestic violence, endanger the affected individuals if they do not take into account central safety-critical aspects. In addition to overarching safety recommendations, Chapter 9 therefore presents self-protection measures in case of attacks, emergency call options, and rescue measures in life-threatening situations, as well as other specific security measures such as behavior recommendations in case of stalking. Practice-relevant interventions and central recommendations to be conveyed can be found in the practical materials at the end of the chapter.
