Robotic Treatment of the Parastomal Hernia
摘要
Surgical repair of parastomal hernias is a complex process associated with significant risks of complications and recurrence. However, robot-assisted surgery appears to improve outcomes in parastomal hernias due to the general advantages of robotics. In this chapter, the problem of parastomal hernia is discussed from the patient’s perspective and the current surgical techniques for robot-assisted treatment are presented: r-Sugarbaker, r-IPST, r-Pauli and the special case of parastomal hernia at the ileum conduit. This chapter contains 4 explanatory videos on the various robotic surgical procedures.
