This chapter explains the concept of robotic-assisted intra-peritoneal mesh (r-IPeM) for incisional hernias. Robotic-assisted IPeM surgery is a safe procedure for small to medium-sized incisional hernias and combined median plus paramedian findings in selected patients. IPeM is particularly useful in difficult-to-access areas such as the suprapubic region, lumbar hernias and subcostal hernias and especially in high-risk patients where a shorter operating time is more important than morphological reconstruction.
