This chapter introduces the concept of quantified behavioural safety, building on the considerations presented thus far. Behavioural safety is arguably the most challenging aspect of product safety with regard to automated driving. Therefore, not only the mathematical principles which are considered in order to validate the preferred mathematical model are discussed in more detail, but also practical aspects such as the so-called “release trap” (also known as the "approval trap").

摘要

This chapter introduces the concept of quantified behavioural safety, building on the considerations presented thus far. Behavioural safety is arguably the most challenging aspect of product safety with regard to automated driving. Therefore, not only the mathematical principles which are considered in order to validate the preferred mathematical model are discussed in more detail, but also practical aspects such as the so-called “release trap” (also known as the "approval trap").
