Effective Managers Use Compatible Leadership Tools
摘要
This chapter examines performance appraisal as one of the most widely used leadership tools worldwide, though it faces growing criticism. Effective tool development and implementation should always be guided by clear expectations and an understanding of the specific context. There is a shift toward tools that are more adaptable, context-sensitive and allow for flexible, self-determined use. Because different contexts and goals often demand distinct tools, a single tool is rarely sufficient to meet diverse expectations across various conditions.
