On a wintry morning, our helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) was alerted to a follow-up mission after a morning scene call. After this was completed, we wanted to refuel at the nearest airfield. During the flight, we were requested for another emergency with the keyword “Child drowning emergency”; 2 minutes later we landed and already saw a woman resuscitating a little girl next to a garden pond.
