Application of TRIZ in a Hospital
摘要
This paper deals with the topic of cost optimization in hospitals, particularly in the context of the economic pressure they are under. This pressure results, among other things, from the introduction of the DRG system, which has led to a focus on lucrative and simple cases. In order to save costs, hospitals are implementing various measures, including external measures such as merging hospitals or outsourcing services, as well as internal measures such as process optimization. One example of a process that can be optimized is patient transport planning within a hospital. Here, the sample process is analyzed and considered with the help of logistics approaches. Optimization opportunities can be identified by applying principles from logistics, for example from Deutsche Bahn. Another process analyzed is regular inpatient admission. This process is characterized by many influencing variables and disruptive factors. By applying innovation principles from TRIZ, ideas can be generated and prioritized in order to improve the process.
