It’s impossible to describe the life cycle of the peacock butterfly in just a few lines, so I’m going to take up a little more space here in order to do it justice. The life history of this wonderful butterfly could also stand in for a range of other butterflies whose lives follow a similar trajectory. My choice of the peacock butterfly for this chapter is down to my discovery of a batch of eggs. Over the next few weeks, I observed them closely, paid regular visits and, of course, took a great many photos.
