In the evening, on the 31st of December 2021, I set up my wildlife camera in order to catch the elves and gnomes in their joyous New Year’s merrymaking: legend has it, it’s a magnificent spectacle to behold, as they gather to fling glow worms at eachother, thus setting off a miraculous display of fireworks – just without the crackers.
