Not all insects can fly, and even if they can, they often prefer a brisk walk. As snails don’t qualify as insects, they never have to pose themselves the question: shall I fly or shall I walk? Occasionally, though, they can still be found at rather lofty heights, such that I’m left scratching my head as to how on earth they got there? It is one thing to climb a stalk, but doing a U-turn midway is something else altogether. This snail, though, has mastered the task admirably and is on its way back down to earth, with its stomach, no doubt, still rumbling, as the stalk was quite devoid of anything edible.
