This chapter addresses the role of leadership in the context of organizational changes. After a brief introduction to important basic terms, process models, and change-related reactions of employees, recommendations for practical leadership action, among other things for persuasion by visions, for information and communication, and for dealing with emerging emotions as well as for a sensitivity to micropolitical processes, are given based on empirical findings on leadership in organizational changes.
