Once this question is conclusively clarified and answered, a selection must be made from the known and available instruments of personality diagnostics, and the obtained results should be interpreted as a comprehensive finding. Nonetheless, personality tests hold a special, if not decisive, significance in this context, as they effectively and sustainably support the operationalization and measurement of constructs, provide “flank protection” to the diagnostic process, and enable or even promote something like differential diagnostics.
