Everyone wants to be intelligent in order to master his or her life in the best possible way. However, while the concepts of intelligence among experts and laypeople are quite similar, the theories and models in psychology are very different. Therefore, intelligence is difficult to define unless the monstrous statement is to take hold that intelligence is what an intelligence test measures. Nevertheless, many old as well as newer research approaches have led to very interesting and insightful results.
