Anesthesia in Ophthalmology
摘要
In ophthalmic surgery, outpatient performance of surgical procedures has proven itself predominantly in recent years, also due to improved surgical techniques and the resulting shorter intervention times. However, general anesthesia still has its justification in the field of eye surgery. According to a representative survey, the various anesthesia techniques are currently used in Germany in the following distribution: 43% topical procedures, 46% retro- or peribulbar injections, 12% sedation or ITN anesthesia.
