This chapter provides data incorporating several suggestions on how to improve the sustainable use of new wood species for a selection of musical instruments for a symphony orchestra (violin, classical guitar, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, xylophone, and marimba). The substitutive species originated from temperate and tropical zones from all over the world. The acoustical properties of these species are discussed.
