Environmental Modifiers of Wood Structural Parameters Detected with Ultrasonic Waves
摘要
The environmental parameters that can act as environmental modifiers of wood structure are the relative air humidity which determines the moisture content of wood, the temperature, and the pressure. The purpose of this chapter is to review the literature published in the last four decades relating to the identification of the dependency of ultrasonic velocities and attenuation and related mechanical parameters of wood and wood-based composites on the action of the environmental modifiers of the structure of materials.
