Fluoroscopic catheter localization and orientation in the fluoroscopic image are indispensable tools of invasive electrophysiology. Specific anatomical-topographical knowledge is required. Orientation is regularly based on certain landmarks and in standard projections. The following chapter provides an overview of the most important landmarks, their location in the projection radiographic image, as well as the standard planes and their use.
