Tumors of the Cardiovascular System
摘要
Cardiac tumours belong to a heterogeneous group that includes various primary benign and malignant as well as secondary tumors. Based on autopsy data, the frequency of cardiac tumors is 0.02%, with approximately 90% being benign and 10% malignant. Metastases from malignancies occur 20 to 30 times more frequently than primary cardiac tumors. In autopsy series of various malignant diseases, cardiac metastases are found in 9–14%, most commonly from lung carcinoma (37%), breast carcinoma (7%), esophageal carcinoma (6%), and lymphomas (20%).
