Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a core element in acute cardiology. The frequent out-of-hospital cardiac arrest continues to pose an interdisciplinary and interprofessional challenge for both preclinical and clinical settings. The success of CPR, from lay resuscitation to high-tech intensive care, depends on every link in the rescue chain.
