Telemedicine in Cardiology
摘要
The Telemedicine (TM) is a form of medical treatment in which a spatial distance between doctor and patient is overcome using communication technologies for diagnosis and therapy. It is not a separate field of expertise but refers to digital working methods within existing disciplines (e.g., Teleradiology) and complements in-person care. The Telecardiology represents the TM working method within Cardiology. The greatest evidence regarding mortality and morbidity reduction exists here for heart failure (HF), where noninvasive +/− invasive measuring devices are used for the transmission of vital parameters. With the decision of the G-BA in 2021, TM co-care for HF became the first digital form of care in the service catalog of the GKV ever, and thus, Germany became the first European country where HF patients have a permanent entitlement to TM co-care within regular care.
