In the interest of clear communication and objective distinguishing features in the study of technical-chemical processes and reactors, the most important basic concepts and definitions of chemical reaction engineering are explained and the chemical reactors are qualitatively characterized in terms of substance-converting, fluid-dynamic, and thermal processes. In addition, the quantitative characterization of the reaction mass and its chemical change, as well as the reaction engineering evaluation parameters important for the design of reactors, such as conversion, yield, and selectivity, are described.

In the interest of clear communication and objective distinguishing features in the study of technical-chemical processes and reactors, the most important basic concepts and definitions of chemical reaction engineering are explained and the chemical reactors are qualitatively characterized in terms of substance-converting, fluid-dynamic, and thermal processes. In addition, the quantitative characterization of the reaction mass and its chemical change, as well as the reaction engineering evaluation parameters important for the design of reactors, such as conversion, yield, and selectivity, are described.
