Basic concepts on censored data and the reasons for censoring are presented. Then, the ideas about left, right, and interval censoring are described. Different types of commonly used censoring schemes, including Type-I, Type-II, progressive Type-I, progressive Type-II, and hybrid censoring schemes, are discussed in detail, and some related literature is reviewed.

摘要
