China’s vast and varied regions, multi-ethnic population, rich customs and massive social transformation have created a society that is today more and more diverse. A traditional simplified elderly care community model can no longer meet the diverse daily needs of society. This paper analyses the current status quo and trends of social diversification, to propose a design strategy for the elderly care community of tomorrow.
