Special Osteosynthesis Materials—Small Osteosynthesis Atlas
摘要
A variety of implants of different designs from various manufacturers exist for fracture care. This chapter presents some of the more common osteosyntheses of the upper extremity (scapula and shoulder joint, upper and lower arm, elbow and hand) as well as the lower extremity (pelvis, femur, knee joint, lower leg and foot) from the perspective of radiological imaging. Screw, plate, intramedullary nail and Kirschner wire orthoses are used, and the dynamic hip screw (DHS) and the external fixator are also presented here using numerous specially prepared X-ray images.
