Juvenile delinquency is one of the problems of modern time, the most challenging and complex social problem faced across the globe Mishra and Biswal (2019). The number of young people committing offences is increasing rapidly in Europe (Estrada, 2001), America (Parks, 2013) and Africa (Ibrahim Forum Report, 2019). Botswana is not an exception to this, because there are increasing number of cases and media reports of violence and juvenile delinquency country wide.
