After validating the 3D-CFD full engine simulations, the information needed to set the input boundary conditions of the numerical model was collected. This included data on temperature, pressure, mass flow, and mass fraction of chemical species. The fine-mesh model describes the physical and chemical phenomena occurring in the exhaust manifold during the engine cycle and identifies the variables that most significantly influence post-oxidation.
