This chapter provides an overview of the state of the art in DRL-based machine scheduling by means of a structured literature review. It serves as a connecting link between the preliminaries in Chap. 2 and the advancements on DRL-based JSS proposed in this thesis that are described in the subsequent Chaps. 4–7. As such, the overarching goal of the literature review is to provide the necessary context for understanding how the research questions and contributions discussed in later chapters relate to the current research on DRL-based machine scheduling.

摘要
