Setting the hook for this dissertation, the theoretical background on swift trust in the organizational context is introduced. Trustful collaboration allows for several organizational advantages, which are explored theory-wise in this chapter. Theories on trust and trust dynamics show the established state of research with foundational work by trust and management scholars.
