This chapter addresses the various anxiety disorders in the school context, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Separation Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. For each anxiety disorder, a definition is provided along with the respective diagnostic criteria, prevalence, and the risk, developmental, and maintenance factors. A case example follows to illustrate each disorder. Finally, treatment approaches are explained, and the management of these anxiety disorders in the school context is discussed for both teaching staff and those affected.
