In accordance with the overarching title “Human-AI Collaboration in Production Management—A Framework for Decision Optimization through Hybrid Intelligence” this thesis addresses the central research question of how the collaboration between humans and AI can be configured for efficacious production management decision-making processes. The work responds to a notable research gap in structured methodologies for determining the appropriate degree of automation—i.e., the optimal division of tasks between human experts and AI systems in production contexts. To address this gap, the thesis presents a systematic framework for calibrating Human-AI collaboration in diverse industrial scenarios.
