The governance of the Internet has emerged as a complex and multifaceted domain, encompassing a diverse array of stakeholders with varying levels of legitimacy and authority. This complexity underscores the ongoing debate surrounding the conceptual boundaries of Internet governance (IG), particularly in the absence of a centralized international regulatory body. The development of the Internet, along with its associated technological manifestations, and its far-reaching societal, economic, and geopolitical implications, has given rise to a dynamic landscape of governance processes and responsibilities distributed among numerous actors.
