The concept of resilience did not receive significant attention within societal discourses since 1900. This is evident from its relatively infrequent use in literary works. After a brief, approximately five-year, increase in the use of the term resilience in German literature of the post-war period, it was not until the 1990s that there was an exponential increase in the use of the term, which continued until 2019.
