Determination of Transition Frequencies
摘要
Quasi-simultaneous measurements in collinear/anticollinear geometry were performed on the \(\textrm{S}_{1/2}\rightarrow \textrm{D}_{5/2}\) transition by driving a Raman transition at a detuning of \(-\) 680 MHz in the optical pumping tube. Both, the diode laser and the Matisse, were used to produce 1033-nm light, and the collinear and anticollinear resonances were aligned in voltage space by adjusting the collinear and anticollinear 1033-nm laser frequencies \(f_{\textrm{col,}\,1033}\) and \(f_{\textrm{acol,}\,1033}\) at a constant frequency \(f_{\textrm{acol,}\,408}\) of the 408-nm laser. This ensures that the frequency \(f_{\textrm{R,}\,408}\) of the 408-nm laser in the ion rest-frame is the same in both directions.
