To this point we have been working with a version of the Tikhonov functional in which the fidelity term is based on the norm of the Banach space Y. Here we want to generalize this object and allow for similarity measures that are useful for a bigger class of ill-posed problems. This generalized fidelity term should still have the properties that ensure the results we already know.
