Pierre Bourdieu’s theory is highly significant for understanding family structures and dynamics from a sociological perspective. His concepts of habitus, capital, and field provide a robust framework for analyzing how social inequalities and power relations are reproduced and transformed within the family field. In this chapter, I will explain Bourdieu’s key concepts, which form the theoretical foundation of this thesis, and especially emphasize why considering the family as a field is meaningful and necessary in this context.

摘要

Pierre Bourdieu’s theory is highly significant for understanding family structures and dynamics from a sociological perspective. His concepts of habitus, capital, and field provide a robust framework for analyzing how social inequalities and power relations are reproduced and transformed within the family field. In this chapter, I will explain Bourdieu’s key concepts, which form the theoretical foundation of this thesis, and especially emphasize why considering the family as a field is meaningful and necessary in this context.
